Sunspot geomagnetic surge warning: effects on 10 August 10, 2010

First 7 of 7 paragraphs shown  Impact of the coronal mass ejection was expected around 10 August.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) AR 1093 produced a M1.0 flare on August 7th, starting at 17:55 UT and peaking at 18:24 UT.
A metric type II burst was observed from Humain (Belgium) starting around 18:09 UT. Behind COR2 observations show:
 - a wide  coronal mass ejection (CME) - s a massive burst of solar wind, other light isotope plasma, and
 - magnetic fields rising above the solar corona,  associated with this event, which is likely to be seen as a halo coronal mass ejection (CME) from Earth, with possible geomagnetic effects in the following days, possibly on Aug. 10th (first crude estimate).
