Pre RFT - Market Sounding Process. As part of the Strategic Reform Program, the Department of Defence will be implementing a series of reforms to its wholesale storage and distribution network. - These reforms are designed to modernise and enhance the storage and distribution functions to provide optimum support to the Australian Defence Force. As part of these reforms, Defence will also re-tender its base storage, distribution and maintenance function currently performed under the existing Defence Integrated Distribution System contract. In doing so, Defence will pursue the most cost-effective procurement option, which could potentially involve a public-private partnership arrangement. The services to be procured offer opportunities to providers in the construction, maintenance, logistics and distribution sectors.
