Senator Ludlam, Greens (Western Australia) proposed amendments based on submissions by: - the Privacy Commissioner; - Electronic Frontiers Australia; and - Australian Law Reform Commission. Amendments to the bill to: - clarify the definition of what constitutes network protection duties in the first place; - what constitutes disciplinary actionsl; and - tighten requirements to destroy copies of intercepted communications.
