NSW Glen Irie bushfire declared an agricultural natural disaster


First 6 of 6 paragraphs shown  Primary producers who were affected by the bushfire in the Glen Irie area west of Guyra in December can now apply for agricultural natural disaster assistance, Minister for Primary Industries Steve Whan announced
 Payments available:  Reported damage to pastures, fencing and stock has exceeded $1 million from the bushfire which started on 10 December in the Glen Irie area, Minister Whan said.
 Money available: :
 Agricultural Natural Disaster Relief Arrangements provide loans of up to $130,000 at 2.56% per annum with a two year interest and repayment free period The loans provide for replacement or repairs to property and infrastructure not covered by insurance, including damage to crops and pasture.
 Subsidies: Transport subsidies of 50% for fodder, stock water and agistment up to $15,000 are also available, if more than 30% of the property is affected.
