 The usually-considered second largest earthquake since 1900 occurred in Prince William Sound near Anchorage, Alaska on Good Friday March 27th 1964 at 5:36 P.M. AST.
 1952 Kamchatka earthquake  9.0  Pacific Plate subducting beneath the Okhotsk Plate. Depth: 30 km. As most of these large earthquakes, it caused a tsunami , had a moment magnitude of c. 9.2, and resulted in 131 deaths.
